Steuben has a population of 1,129 as of the 2020 census. This is a quiet town in Maine's third least populated county. Most shopping and convenances are in Milbridge about 7 miles from the property or in the city of Ellsworth 32 miles southwest.
Washington County was named for George Washington. This county has an amazing amount of coastal shoreland and islands, much of which have been purchased or gifted for conservation. This is the unofficial lobster and blueberry capital of Maine.
